NAGELsport had its humble beginnings in 1991 as Nagel Design, a full-service architecture, and interiors firm. By the late ’90s, due to increasing market interest, we began to focus on the fitness industry. Applying our design senses to the member experience inside the gym. Uniquely qualified, Jeff and Julie met in a gym and more specifically met in an aerobics class in 1986. Jeff has been a wanna-be athlete all his life (1981 AAU national racquetball champion) and Julie (also in the industry over 40years) as a group exercise instructor, bodybuilder, and fitness competitor. She got her to start teaching aerobics in church basements with a record player and 45’s! Beat that! Fast forward to 2001. Jeff’s design for the PEAK HEALTH AND WELLNESS facility in Great Falls, MT won the nova7 award at IHRSA for ‘best fitness design international’. Using this opportunity they deepened their market presence in the fitness industry further. Now it’s 2020, they have added two sons to their team and along with several additional awards, have lost count of the over 250 fitness projects they have completed worldwide.
